About the editor
Korea Pathbook is edited by a Seoul resident with 30 years of local experience. The editor travels around Korea on weekends, revisiting familiar places and checking new routes, neighborhoods, transport connections and everyday services from a visitor’s point of view.
The focus is travel: how to move between places, how to use local services, what first-time visitors may find confusing and which details are worth checking before a trip. The aim is not to claim that every destination has been experienced in exactly the same way, but to clearly separate first-hand observations, editorial suggestions and information confirmed through official sources.
How the guides are researched
- Local field checks: Routes, signs, entrances, payment steps and common points of confusion are checked during weekend trips whenever possible.
- Official sources: Time-sensitive information such as fares, operating rules, eligibility and opening details is compared with transport operators, public agencies or tourism authorities.
- Clear distinctions: First-hand observations, sample itineraries, estimates and sourced facts are labelled so readers can understand what each statement represents.
- Regular reviews: Guides include a review date where useful. Because services can change, readers are encouraged to confirm important details with the linked official source before travelling.
